Fawaz Elsaid ★ ★ | SUDANESE

Fawaz Elsaid was born in Sudan and graduated from the College of Fine Art at Sudan University. He largely works with acrylic on canvas. His compositions are largely influenced by African folklore and the Arab legacy. He aims to go against the grain and has deviated customary surrealism to explore his own style that incorporates the blending of colours and overlapping visual elements to complete the picture that reflects life. Fawaz is currently based at Kuona Trust Art Centre.
